GOD IS WITH US

We have many plans in our lives. We work out all of the details, and we get excited about all of the good that is going to come. As we begin to complete our plans, things start going twisted; nothing works out right. This can be both frustrating and depressing. We begin to ask ourselves, “Where did I go wrong?”
This is exactly what happened in the life of Saint Joseph and Mary. Everything was going fine for them until they faced God’s intervention. God’s plans and their plan did not seem to match. Finally, Mary and Joseph let go their plan and embrace God’s plan with faith for the sake of all humanity.
What about us now? We have our plans, our strategies; and very often we say our plan and God’s plan do not match. We are unable to adjust to his way? What holds us back?
We have to learn to let go of our plans in order to embrace whatever God wants of us – be it difficult or easy, pleasing or unpleasant.
We need to open our hearts to God’s marvelous plan. Open wide the doors of our heart to Christ! Welcome Emmanuel, “God is with us,” this Christmas.
